The Strategic Development Programme of the Faculty of Education and Social Work (PDE-FETS) is the result of collective reflection, based on its roots and identity, to design a sustainable, humanistic educational proposal that is closely connected to the environment. The reference framework that served as a starting point was the Strategic Plan of the University of Vigo (approved by the Senate on 16 December 2020), which defines ‘our University as a public, autonomous institution, open to the community and with an international vocation, which promotes equality, plurality, accessibility, sustainability, transparency, economic progress and social welfare in Galicia.’ Thus, the Faculty of Education and Social Work aims to contribute to the achievement of the university’s mission by focusing its strategic lines and objectives on the challenges facing our institution.
